An old word for a present calling

A steward was the keeper of a house that was not his own. It is among the oldest offices in our language, and it is Scripture’s word for every one of us. Coalition is an old word too, chosen with intent: a fellowship of like-minded organizations, each with its own craft and charge, serving leaders toward the same end.

Mission

The Steward’s Coalition joins like-minded organizations to help leaders steward their means, resources, and influence as belonging to God.

Vision

Leaders who use what God has entrusted to them for faithful influence and meaningful change.

The truths that keep the table.

God owns it all

Every estate in our keeping has one true Owner, and we are His under-stewards. We hold all things, this Coalition included, with open hands.

The heart before the hands

We do not begin with strategy or sums. The heart comes first, and our loves must be rightly ordered before our assets can be.

Come as you are

Every room we host is free of titles and status. People meet by first name, and no one is pitched or asked for money.

Wisdom has a table

The leaders we serve carry questions no pamphlet can answer. The answers are found among people further along the same road, so we build those tables.

Generosity is joy

We invite generous giving and never press it. Open hands and glad faces are what we are after.

We measure our work in generations. What matters is what stays alive in a family a hundred years from now.

Whom We Serve / 03

Leaders carrying consequential questions.

We serve leaders with the means, resources, and influence to make change. They lead companies, foundations, family offices, ministries, communities, and households. They seek faithful counsel without being sized up or pitched to.

We are a fellowship of ministries, networks, advisors, and practitioners who confess the same convictions. The Coalition is the host of the tables and the home of A Steward’s Journey, its invitation only program.
